1.     Length of Periods: The first two periods will be 10 min stop time; the 3rd period being will be running time, the length being equivalent to the remaining ice time available (to make 50 minutes).
Reminder: Novice does not use the secondary running clock (that is they do not have to play the 10 minutes within the 15 minute running time). The periods are not to finish before the time on the clock has expired.

2.     Players must have EQUAL ICE TIME regular seasonardless of the game situation or player’s talent (all divisions).

3.     Rescheduling games: All teams are required to show up at all games. Round Robin games can not be rescheduled except due to inclement weather, and then only on the direction/approval of the District President Initiation/Novice. Failure to show for a game will result in disciplinary action by District in accordance with the Rules and Regulations.

4.     There shall be no championship trophy awarded; however, we will keep track of team placement/standings.

5.     Teams get 2 points for a win; 1 point for a tie; and 0 points for a loss. There will be no overtime.

6.     In addition to mailing in game sheets, home teams will email the score of the game within 1 day of it being played, to the District President Initiation/Novice. Ensure that the email indicates the game number, the date played and the teams involved. For Novice B game scores are to be emailed the same day as the game is played so that we can quickly determine the placement of the teams for the 5th game.

All suspensions must be reported IMMEDIATELY (especially if playing following day) by the Association Novice Coordinator/VP by phone to the District President Initiation/Novice, Nanci Laroche (follow up with email).
