Thanks for the Memories 2007-08

Happier Times. Major Midgets celebrate their first round win over the Kanata Blazers on February 23.

The 2007-08 Eastern Ontario Cobras season has officially drawn to a close with the elimination of the Major Midgets, the last team left alive, on February 29, 2008.

Keep watching the website for more news on the Cobras Banquet (April 12 in Rockland), the Annual General Meeting, the summer goalies' clinic, and much, much more in the weeks ahead.

One is not enough

Graham Cross (8) watches as his shot sails over the Ottawa Sting’s goalie on February 10 in Casselman. The third period marker narrowed the score to 2-1, but the Sting added an empty net goal with three seconds left to defeat the Midget Minor Cobras 3-1 in the team's last regular season game. Five of eight Cobras teams will will advance to post-season play when the playoffs get under way on February 15. [More]

PeeWee AA win Lake Placid tourney

The Peewee AA Major Cobras took part in the CHE Lake Placid Tournament during the first weekend in February. The Cobras won all their games, including a 3-0 shutout of the Hamilton Spitfires in the tournament final. Captain Zach Montpetit-Car was named the Tournament MVP. Aside from a weekend of great hockey, the team also enjoyed a visit to the site of the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid.
