Two Cobras teams make finals |

The Minor PeeWee A and Major Midget AA Cobras both made it to the finals of the Gloucester Rangers Winterlude tournament Feb 2-4. The PeeWee Cobras had one win and two ties in round robin play, then squeezed by the host Rangers 4-3 in the semi-final before dropping a 2-1 decision in the final to the Silver Seven Black. Maxim Choquette was the top scorer in the tournament with five goals and six points in five games, while Mathieu Fournier and Mathieu Galipeau each contributed four points. The Major Midgets were 2-1 in the round robin, and edged the East End Ticats 3-2 in the semi-final before bowing out 4-0 in the final against the Rangers. Philippe Béland finished third in tournament scoring with 3 goals and 9 points for the Midget Cobras, while his brother Maxime had 7 points, good for fourth in the scoring race. |
