Kevin Lalande was named goaltender of the week in the East Coast Hockey League on January 29, 2008. The Rockland native, who played with the Cobras from 1998 to 2003, was 2-0-0 during the week with a shutout, a 0.50 goals-against average and a .982 save percentage with Las Vegas Wranglers. In 12 games with the Wranglers, Lalande, who was drafted by the Calgary Flames in 2005, has a GAA of 1.49 and a save percentage of .946. He has also played 7 games with the Quad City Flames in the American Hockey League, where he has posted a 2-3 record. |

| Martin St-Pierre set up the tying and winning goals in a 9-8 comeback win for the Canadian squad in the AHL All-Star game in Binghamton on January 28. He also scored a goal in the game, running his total to 8 points in the last three AHL All-Star games. The speedy centre from Embrun sat in second place in the AHL scoring race at the All-Star break with 16 goals and 62 points in 43 games. St-Pierre played for the Cobras in the late 1990s. | ![]() |
