Major Peewee Cobras win 3 of 4 games at Humberview Huskies Tournament
The Major Peewee Cobras traveled to Toronto on October 11-12-13 and
participated in the Humberview Huskies AA Tournament. The Cobras posted a
3-1 record, defeating the Etobicoke Canucks 8-3, Vaughn Panthers 5-3 and the
Chatham Maroons 7-1. Their only loss was to the defending champions
Humberview Huskies 2-0 with an empty net goal being scored with 0.2 seconds
remaining in the game.
The Team ranked 4th out of the 8 teams, including their league rivals Kanata Blazers, Gloucester Rangers and Rideau St-Lawrence Kings.

The Team dedicated the Tournament to their buddy and teammate Jonathan Dion who suffered a broken leg during the team's season opener on October 10th, the day before leaving for the Tournament. The players hung up Johnny's sweater behind their bench during the first game making sure Johnny was with them all the way ! The players and staff want to wish Johnny a quick and full recovery! |
