Bantam Minor AA Tournament
Lake Placid, NY - 19-21 Oct 2007

    The Minor Bantam AA won their first game of the season by defeating the New England Moose 3-0.  New England went on to win the gold medal of the tournament.   Our boys were very proud knowing they had beaten the Gold Medal Winners in a prior game....with a shutout!  One highlight of our weekend was the outstanding performance by our goalie Joey Gour, who gave us quite the show at the skills competition by stopping all six shots from both minor and major Bantams.   Congrats Joey for winning the shootouts competition…..you made us all very proud!  The players learned a great deal during that weekend, including the skill of "visualization" in the locker room prior to the game.  This new "skill" was very welcomed by the players, and played a key role in winning our first hockey game (we won't reveal our secret!)

    On a final note we would like to congratulate ALL of our players for giving everything they had and by showing great sportsmanship.  We have a great bunch of well-behaved young men and this team is definitely coming together.  As someone wrote:  "It is not only the destination that counts but the journey to get there".  We are certainly enjoying every moment of this journey with the boys, the coaches and the parents.  Well done!
